MINISTRY FOR CULTURAL ASSETS, ACTIVITIES AND TOURISM – General direction of contemporary art and architecture and urban suburbs

Born in Rome, she graduated at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1998 and specializes at the “School of Specialization in Restoration of Monuments” of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Subsequently continues training with advanced courses, scholarships and master in Italy and abroad. The scientific activity that characterizes her research is directed to the deepening of the issues concerning the relations between theory, history and design, with particular attention to issues of urban renewal and restoration of the relationship between quality and contemporary design. These themes are developed through the achievement of various research grants, and participation in national and international conferences and seminars. From 1988 to 2002 she taught Theory and History of Architecture at IED – Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome and participated in the scientific activities of the Department of Architecture IED (competitions and publications). From 1989 to 2000 she held at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at the Polytechnic of Bari, cycles of educational seminars in the course of history. From 1995 to 2000 she was scientific director and teacher of the department of architecture of the “Seminario International de Arquitectura y Restoration ” Progetto Italia” sponsored by International Centre For The Study For Preservation And Restoration Of The Cultural Property, by Istituto Italo Latino Americano and by the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, for cultural exchanges between Italy and Latin America.
